Providing essential nutrients is essential to a person’s overall well-being for them to combat age-related decline and preventing malnutrition. Elderly seniors are at higher risk of malnutrition due to decreased appetite, swallowing difficulties, and potential health issues so proper nutrition monitoring is vital.
Here at Visions Assisted Living, we take nutrition very seriously with three meals a day and snacks when requested. We have a registered dietitian to ensure that our residents get the proper nutrition they need. We provide customized meal plans based on an individual’s dietary restrictions, allergies, and medical conditions under the guidance of our registered dietitian.
Nutrition is a crucial part of any senior housing facilities as it directly impacts the physical and cognitive health of our senior residents. Proper nutrition can also contribute to improved mood, social interaction, and energy levels.
